Dear Mr. Krause

I believe I should get an A in your class because even though I am not the most attentive student I do all of my work on time. I have not missed any of the assignments and complete the assignments within the time give to complete them. Also I have learned from the exercises how to use the different programs such as Microsoft word, Excel, and Power point. The text editing has taught me how to write paragraph with no grammar errors. Also I had taught me how to space evenly between paragraphs and my name and date. Also it showed me how to use the spell and grammar check tool. Because I have gathered all of this knowledge from your class and can put it to use in my daily life I believe I deserve an A in your class. Also I have learned how to make a banner which I may use for a game or other type of event. So because I did all of my work I your class I should be awarded an A because basically I know what I am doing and can perform it to you.

Introduction to Character Formatting

Microsoft Word provides many methods for changing the way a document looks. Character formatting options can be used effectively to give documents and attractive and professional look. Formatting options allow you to change many things about the way text looks including font style, font size, font colour and other font effects.

Font Faces

Font Faces are text styles that can be used to change the way your lettering looks. Some are formal looking while others are very casual or artistic looking. When Windows and Word are installed on your computer, they will both add a collection of Font Faces to your computer which can be used in many programs. The default font that is used in new Word documents in the Times New Roman font.

Font Sizes

You can adjust the size of text on a page to whichever size you choose. Font sizes are measured in ‘points’, a measurement unit common in printing. There are 72 points to an inch so text that is font size 72 would be one inch in height. The font sizes you enter do not have to be whole numbers. For instance, you could enter a font size of 14.5 for some text that you have selected. The default font size for new Word documents is 12 points.

Font Colours

The text in a document can be changed to any colour you computer is capable of displaying or printing. On most computers this means you will have over 16 thousand colours to choose from. The default text colour is black.

Other Text Effects

Many other text effects can be applied to the text in your document. These include text underlines, superscript, subscript and character spacing options.

Weekend

My weekend was great. I went to a football game at kamehameha and we lost to word of life for our homecoming. We lost in thriple over time to a score of 50 to 45. Other than that i worked out the ymca and after that i got jamba juice. The next morning i had to wake up at 430 and work at the chicken sale at 5-8 which sucked a lot i wish i could of just slept in but i got a free breakfast. After i got home and feel asleep and didn’t wake up till 1:20 which was good. After that i went to the ymca again and worked out and ran at ala moan park which was good. When i got home i feed my dogs and then wash my truck because all the chicken oil went all over my black truck and made it gray. So i had to polish my whole car and wash it. Also i change my tires on my truck and the ride is much better than it was before. Then i played my ps3 and it was great playing ufc and cod. That was my great weekend.

Mother board

the mother board is what the name say it is. It is all the circuits in the computer. It also has the cpu chip connected to it. Also the mother board has the key board and other main components connected to it. The mother board is what connect the computer to the screen and the key board. Also the memory slot is connected to the mother board so all the memory in your in your computer is saved to the motherboard. It also has the battery which keeps the BIOs chip alive which power the computer. The mother board also has the usb port which you can connect most ipod and othe mp3 and mp4 players. Also It has the south and north bridge which connect audio and picture to your computer. So without these two thing you would have no picture or music when on the computer making it useless. Also it has the BIOS which is the first thing to turn on when you hit the on switch button. It sends codes through the computer to open all the files in the computer. This is one of the main parts of a computer and it is located on the motherboard.

I have the dell laptop. It has the latest in software including vista and windows 2009. It is a really good computer that has a good size screen. Their is one thing i do not like though and that it is heavy and a little big. The screen is very clear and bright. It gets hot at times but most computer do. The keyboard has a big size keys and good space if you have big fingers. One thing I wish had was a camera so i could i chat to people. I also like the wifi because i can go anywhere and be able to use it. if i could change it i would get a smaller computer and lighter because the dell weighs a lot to be bringing to every class.
If i could get a new computer i would get the new mac book because they are lighter and easier to carry around. Also they have camera attached and that is one thing i wish i had on m computer. Also they are more memory so if i want to play games or anything like the computer would have less lag and more power running to it. Also i think the apple computers run cooler than the dell does. the only one thing i do not like about apple is that they break easily the are not as tough as the dell notebooks are. Because of this i would have to be very careful which i am not. But the lightness make it easy to carry around when i have classes.

The first computer were big and did not work to well as the ones today. Also they were very expensive and most people could not afford them. The creation of the abacus by the chines was the first computer later calculator were created with simple add and subtract button. Later in the 19th century the first computer was created and was big and expensive. As the year past computer evolved and and became smaller and faster but still expensive. Mac created the first portable computer know as the laptop. Now we have computer that are faster, more portable and cheaper. A average computer would cost one thousand dollar and now are as cheap as three hundred. These things led to the evolution of computers.

The best web video I have seen was on youtube.com and had to do with all
different xtreme s10. I really like this video becasue i own that truck.
Also it gives me ideas about what i could do to my truck like changing my
sounds, my rims, or even the color. It shows many different upgrades that
i have never seen before. So it shows me new accesories i can put on my
truck that i didnt know was possible. It always shows me custon work that
gives me ideas about what i can do in the future. This is why this video
is my favorite video.
